Based on negotiations held at SIAL CANADA, $25 million worth of exports are expected to be consolidated over the next 12 months.

Four Brazilian companies, BRF, Copacol, Pamplona and Seara, were in attendance at SIAL Canada last week, resulting in $1.9 million worth of deals signed during the fair. Based on negotiations held at the fair, exports worth $25 million are expected to be consolidated over the next 12 months, the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) said in a press release. In addition to business meetings, the event was aimed at strengthening the image of the manufacturing sector in the Canadian market, a traditional chicken MEAT importer from Brazil, which opened its doors to pork exports this year.

In this sense, in addition to distributing promotional materials for the brands "Brazilian Chicken" and "Brazilian Pork" and holding meetings with local stakeholders, ABPA organized a workshop with Canadian importers and authorities. “The result achieved at SIAL Canada provides insight into the behavior of this market and reinforces positive expectations for growth in poultry and pork exports to the North American market. We have built a strong partnership, which should now be given a new impetus with the entry of the pig sector into the trade relations of both countries,” said ABPA President Ricardo Santin.
