In terms of revenue, May sales generated revenue of $ 867.4 million , down 4.1% from the total recorded in the fifth month of 2022 of $904.6 million.

In the cumulative result for the year (January-May), sales of the sector reached a total volume of 2.183 million tons, which is 9.7% higher than in the first five months of 2022, from 1.990 million tons. In revenue, cumulative shipments reach 4.281 billion US dollars, which is 13.4% higher than in the period from January to May 2022, when they amounted to 3.776 billion US dollars.

Among the main EXPORT destinations, CHINA led the purchase of chicken MEAT in 2023 with 328 thousand tons in the period from January to May, up 32.6% compared to the same period in 2022, with 247.4 thousand tons. . Other leaders were Japan with 178.7 thousand tons (+8%), South Africa with 162.7 thousand tons (+12.1%), Saudi Arabia with 148.1 thousand tons (3.4%).

The main exporter of chicken meat in Brazil, the state of Parana, shipped a total of 907 thousand tons (+0.8%) in the period from January to May, Sao Paulo - 125.8 thousand tons (+19.9%) and Goiás from 99.8 thousand tons (+33.7%).
