“Due to the regular analysis of data from the Mercury electronic veterinary certification system, there is no need for scheduled inspections,” said Sergey Dankvert , HEAD of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR . “Today, by analyzing electronic systems, we can conclude to what extent a company or person is engaged in legal or illegal business,” he said in an interview with NTV television.

Enterprises are actively connected to the system of electronic veterinary certification. “Everyone understood that this needs to be done, because then your story is visible. And if your history is not there, then, you know, like in a bank - there is no loan. And here there is no credibility,” Sergey Dankvert explained. He said that in 2020, more than 4.2 billion electronic certificates were issued in the Mercury system. Rosselkhoznadzor inspectors daily monitor the data of the Mercury system and check the facts related to the movement of goods, analyze the volumes of incoming raw materials for production and the output of finished products.

FSIS "Mercury" is an information system of the Rosselkhoznadzor, which contains information about all products of animal origin that are produced, moved and sold on the territory of RUSSIA. MEAT and fish products, honey, as well as all dairy products are subject to electronic veterinary certification. In Mercury, on average, more than 14 million veterinary certificates are issued per day. More than 700,000 business entities work in the system every month.
