A working meeting was held between the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Krupko and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulrahman Suleiman al-Ahamad.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of exports of Belarusian halal products to Saudi Arabia. According to Ivan Krupko, Belarus is primarily interested in the supply of dairy products (powdered MILK, butter and cheese), and in the future - in the supply of halal poultry and beef.
To develop foreign economic contacts, the government of Belarus intends to cooperate with the Saudi Arabian Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) in terms of accrediting agricultural enterprises for access to a promising market.
The message of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus noted that trade relations with Saudi Arabia are developing: last year, the volume of supplies of Belarusian agricultural raw materials and food increased by 3.1 times compared to 2019, and in the first quarter of 2021 - by 124.3% year on year (up to $1.7 million).
