According to the press service of the Leningrad Region Veterinary Department , in order to begin deliveries, the Belarusian company must undergo competitive procurement procedures in 2025. Participation in these procedures is only possible in compliance with all legislative obligations, which ensures the transparency and competitiveness of the process.

Earlier, the Leningrad Region signed cooperation agreements with the S. N. Vyshelessky Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine and Belvitunifarm OJSC, aimed at strengthening the veterinary security of the region. Within the framework of these agreements, a station for combating animal diseases in the Vsevolozhsk District was licensed, which will allow it to carry out wholesale trade and transportation of veterinary drugs.

The shortage of rabies vaccines for small pets has become a serious problem for a number of Russian veterinary clinics due to increased demand in the spring and the cessation of supplies from foreign manufacturers. However, Russian companies were able to adapt and significantly increase vaccine production volumes, producing 345.2 thousand units in the first quarter of 2025, which is five times more than in previous periods.

Successful participation of Belvitunipharm OJSC in the competitive bidding can significantly improve the situation with the vaccine shortage and increase their availability for veterinary clinics and pet owners. Vaccination of animals remains a key factor in the fight against rabies, and the active work of both public and private organizations can significantly change the epizootic situation. Sustainable cooperation between Belarus and RUSSIA, as well as the development of domestic vaccine production will create a reliable basis for ensuring animal HEALTH and human safety.
