The Komsomolskaya Poultry Farm is a full-cycle company that includes feed production, incubators, workshops for rearing young stock and industrial maintenance of laying hens, egg sorting and packaging workshops, the Trust said in a statement. The products of the poultry farm under the Healthy Farm brand are sold in 20 regions, 90% of sales come from the largest federal chains. The company has permission to EXPORT to the countries of the Customs Union, the Persian Gulf and Thailand.

The poultry farm was registered in 2005, at that time the founder was the Department of Property Relations of the Perm Territory. In 2007, the poultry farm was privatized by the Chelyabinsk holding "Uralbroiler" (later - GK "Healthy Farm"). At the end of 2016, the enterprise changed its owner again: Healthy Farm was acquired by Rusgrain Holding. At the end of 2018, it, including Komsomolskaya, was bought out by the Trust Bank, and Trust Poultry Assets Management Company became the new owner. Under the management of "Trust", the volume of production of the poultry farm increased by 5%, the factory reached its design capacity.

According to Genrikh Arutyunov, General DIRECTOR of the Management Company Trust – Poultry Assets, quoted by the TELEGRAM channel of the National Union of Poultry Breeders, the table egg market in RUSSIA is not yet at such a high stage of consolidation as the broiler, pig, turkey, etc. direction is coming, and there are already individual investors who want to consolidate a significant share of the market. “It is they who can become potential buyers of the Komsomolskaya poultry farm, since this asset can become a key asset for implementing the strategy,” he said. “The enterprise has the opportunity within a short time and with a restrained investment program to more than double egg production to 1.5 billion pieces, which will allow it to become one of the leaders in Russia.” This will also provide the best cost of production, and this,

He also notes that the enterprise is already successful in terms of fulfilling the plan: in the first quarter, production increased by 6%, and EBIDTA was 27% higher than the business plan. "The poultry farm is ready for integration into management - both to a portfolio investor and to the structure of the operating company of the operating holding," he estimates.

The poultry farm "Komsomolskaya" produces eggs - a socially significant product, the cheapest product of animal origin, and the development of egg production in our country remains stable and in demand, commented Galina Bobyleva, General Director of Rosptitsesoyuz. “The egg is in high demand both from the end consumer and from food manufacturers - sauces, sausages, bakery and confectionery products,” she recalls.

The average annual profitability of egg poultry farms is 7% - this is not the level that can allow investing in the development of production, Bobyleva estimates. At the same time, during the summer period, poultry enterprises often operate with lower profitability, since the egg market is saturated. “However, since the egg has always been and will be in demand on the market, this asset is interesting for a potential investor and will definitely find its buyer,” she adds.

An industry source familiar with the asset being sold said that the Komsomolskaya poultry farm is in good condition and is one of the significant players in the Urals. “This is an interesting asset for making money, but it will show itself best in the hands of a specialized investor who will understand how to provide such an enterprise with feed, equipment, consumables,” he says. — Running an egg business is a little easier than running a MEAT business. The egg market in Russia is well-established, demand is provided by supply, a lot of eggs are not yet exported, but there are no new projects in egg poultry farming either. At the same time, the egg is in stable demand; it does not have direct substitute products. Of course, there is some risk of a decrease in demand for eggs from the industrial sector, but if it happens, it will be small.”

Last year, Trust sold the broiler division to the Healthy Farm Group of Companies, and the Cherkizovo group became the buyer. Now, in addition to Komsomolskaya, the bank has put up for auction a feed mill in the Sverdlovsk region, which is not working now. Its starting price is 29 million rubles. In addition, by the end of the year, the bank plans to put up for auction the pig-breeding division of the Healthy Farm Group of Companies - the Rodnikovsky pig farm. In total, for three assets, taking into account Komsomolskaya, Trust expects to receive 3 billion rubles.
