AGROECO put into operation a high-tech farm for the production of premium pork

The AGROECO Group of Companies ranked fourth in the top 10 pork producers in RUSSIA in 2022, producing a total of 322 thousand tons of MEAT. This year, they plan to increase pork production by another 18,000 tons, the company reported to sfera.fm, including through the launch of a new high-tech farm that will produce more than 16,000 tons of meat per year.

The Osetrovsky pig complex is designed for 5.2 thousand sows, the company said. Some of the pigs belong to the Yurok breed, which produces premium pork with excellent gastronomic qualities - rich color, delicate taste and fatty layers, which ensure uniform meat marbling. For the production of such pork, pigs will need special feed, rich in proteins and dairy products.

Most of the work on the farm is automated, the company notes. The processes from feeding to maintaining the microclimate are controlled by a computer. In addition, special security systems monitor the condition of animals and ensure the highest level of biosecurity at the enterprise.
