The agricultural enterprises of Kuzbass today have a great responsibility for import substitution and providing the region with products. The fulfillment of the tasks set requires enormous investments of manpower and resources from agricultural producers. State support programs also help to resolve this issue.

“In 2023, seven Kuzbass breeding farms in the amount of 73.3 million rubles received subsidies to support livestock breeding in the direction “Reimbursement of part of the costs of maintaining breeding breeding stock of agricultural animals”. Six of them are engaged in dairy cattle breeding, constantly increasing MILK productivity. One poultry farm breeds egg chickens,” commented Denis Ilyin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kuzbass.

“The social and economic development of Kuzbass cannot be imagined without livestock breeding, on which the improvement of productive qualities and the breeding of highly productive farm animals directly depend. Therefore, supporting agricultural producers in the region who are engaged in their breeding remains one of our priority tasks,” added Andrey Aritkulov, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kuzbass.

As of January 1, 2023, the breeding stock of cattle in the region amounted to 19.6 thousand heads, including 8.39 cows. The poultry population is 521.9 thousand heads, including 85.8 laying hens.

In 2022, the breeding farms of the region produced 68.4 thousand tons of milk, which is 52% of the total milk volume by agricultural producers. JSC "Vaganovo" has the highest milk productivity - 10,620 kg. In second place is SPK Beregovoy with an indicator of 9,277 kg. In third place is Temp LLC - 7,481 kg.
