Woman with over 2.2 ppm of alcohol causes accident in Minsk

September 29, Minsk . A drunk woman caused a traffic accident in Minsk, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee told BELTA.

The accident occurred on Mayakovsky Street. According to preliminary information, the 35-year-old driver of a Renault collided with a Ford. The impact threw the cars off the roadway. "Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident," the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee noted.

At the time of the accident the woman was in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication . A medical examination showed more than 2.2 ppm of alcohol in her body.

The woman was detained, the car was placed in a guarded parking lot. A notification letter will be sent to the violator's place of work.

"When you get behind the wheel while intoxicated, you endanger not only yourself, but also those around you," the state traffic inspectors reminded once again.
