MINSK . Since the beginning of the year, 25 people have died in fires in Belarus. BELTA was informed about this by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to preliminary data, in most cases, the cause of fires with deaths was carelessness when smoking in a state
ALCOHOL intoxication , as well as violation of the rules of operation of furnaces, heat-generating units and devices (overheating of the furnace).
Since the beginning of the year, there have been four fires that claimed several lives: on January 1 in the village of Turki, Bobruisk district, on January 4 in the agricultural town of Luchniki, Slutsk district, on January 5 in Dubrovno and on January 7 in the village of Vasilevichi, Zhlobin district. “In almost all incidents, the causes include a simple arithmetic operation -
alcohol plus smoking,” noted the rescue department.

the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: you should not smoke in the house, especially in bed, especially while intoxicated, and use paper bags, matchboxes or cigarettes as an ashtray - they can ignite. When filling the ashtray, you should clean
it promptly. It is dangerous to throw even extinguished cigarettes into trash cans, from balconies and loggias. You must ensure that the ashes do not fall on flammable items or the floor, and keep matches, lighters and cigarettes only out of the reach of children place.
