Driver of a car in the Gomel region lost control, a teenager was injured

A 14-year-old teenager was hit by a car in the Gomel Region, BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.

Today, at about 21:20, while driving along the R-150 Khutor-Gomel highway from the Crystal microdistrict in the direction of Zaitseva Street, near the intersection with Ruchyeva Street, a 49-year-old female driver of a Honda lost control, drove off the roadway and hit a 14-year-old boy on a scooter, who was moving along the side of the road. 

The teenager was hospitalized with injuries in the intensive care unit of the Gomel Regional Clinical Hospital. 

According to preliminary information, the driver was in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication .

An investigation is being conducted into the accident, and the circumstances of the incident are being established.
