July 31, MINSK . The Venice authorities are introducing new restrictions in the historic part of the city, which are aimed primarily at tourists. Information about this is reported with reference to ATOR.

Restrictions apply to the operation of the catering network. So, the opening hours of bars, cafes and restaurants have been reduced to two in the morning. Also an important condition - from 23.00 it should be quiet inside and on their territory. The sale of alcoholic beverages must be terminated at 01.30. The opening hours of gastronomic shops are limited to 23.00, with the exception of the ice cream parlor.

The municipality explains such measures as "protecting the right of citizens to rest." They also intend to stop "the riots caused by night traffic in the historical center."

The rules for transportation through water channels on boats have been tightened. Back in 2020, the gondoliers insisted on changes in boat capacity. Now they are updated.
