In Zhabinka, a driver with 1.9 ppm of alcohol crashed into a pole

The accident occurred on March 8 at about 9:30 p.m. A 26-year-old driver in a Peugeot was driving along Komsomolskaya Street in the direction of Shosseynaya Street. “According to preliminary information, when the road curved to the right, the motorist did not select a safe speed, lost control and drove onto the left shoulder in the direction of travel, where he collided with a power line support. The young man was driving in a stateALCOHOL intoxication - 1.9 ppm," explained the regional police department.  
 
The driver was hospitalized. An investigation into the accident is being carried out.

"For driving a vehicle while intoxicated, as well as refusal to undergo an examination, administrative liability arises in the form of a fine of 100 to 200 BV with deprivation of the right to drive for a period of 3 to 5 years. For a repeated violation of this type within a year, the driver faces criminal liability with confiscation of the vehicle and restriction or imprisonment,” the Internal Affairs Directorate recalled.
