January 10, MINSK. More than 570 traffic violations by pedestrians were revealed by employees of the capital's traffic police over the past weekend. BelTA was informed about this by the UGAI GUVD of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Inspectors revealed 576 facts of traffic violations by pedestrians, 44 of them were in a state of intoxication . 215 drivers were detained for violations of the rules of passage of pedestrian crossings.

In addition, 32 drivers were detained for driving while intoxicated. Traffic police officers prevented 125 facts of driving vehicles without rights.

Over the past weekend, 117 accidents were registered in Minsk.

“We remind you that from January 1 to 10, a set of preventive measures “There is no place for a drunk on the road” is taking place. The measures are aimed at preventing and suppressing the facts of driving vehicles by drunk drivers, as well as violations of traffic rules by drunk vulnerable road users,” the traffic police added.
