June 10, MINSK . In Minsk, a man without a license stole a car, then abandoned it and went home by taxi, BelTA learned from the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

A 29-year-old resident of the district contacted the Partizanskoye District Department of Internal Affairs after discovering in the morning that his car, parked by the road, had disappeared. Criminal investigation officers identified the person involved in the theft and detained him. He turned out to be a 27-year-old Minsk resident. 

The man explained that he had had a serious conflict with his girlfriend the day before. In the evening after work, while in a state ofunder the influence of ALCOHOL , he noticed a parked foreign car with unlocked doors and the key in the ignition. He got into the car and drove several streets. Later, the Minsk resident realized that he had committed a crime, abandoned the car in the private sector, called a taxi and went home.

It is known that the man never received a driver's license. The car was returned to its owner in good technical condition.

A criminal case for theft has been opened.
