Drunk driver arrested in Grodno region

August 16, Grodno. In the Grodno region, the traffic police detained a driver who drank vodka and beer in the morning and got behind the wheel in the afternoon. This was reported to BelTA in the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

On the highway P44 Grodno - Ruzhany - Ivatsevichi in the Grodno region, traffic police officers stopped a Mercedes car. it turned out that the 53-year-old driver has obvious signsALCOHOL intoxication . This was confirmed by a medical examination: the driver's body contained over 2 ppm of alcohol.

As the man explained, at about 8 in the morning he drank 250 g of vodka and a liter of beer, and at about one in the afternoon he went to the store driving a car.

The driver has been removed from control. The car was taken to the impound. Now the man faces a fine of 200 BV and deprivation of a driver's license for 5 years.
