The 47-year-old resident of the Pruzhany District was riding a commuter train in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication . Because of this, he was dropped off at the Bronnaya Gora station in the Berezovsky district. As the night approached, the man wanted a drink.Coffee . There was no cafe at the train station, so he decided to ask the locals for some boiling water to dissolve a bag of coffee.
"Having entered a nearby lot, he approached the 65-year-old owner. However, the pensioner refused the drunken stranger and advised him to go to the train station for boiling water. Frustrated by this answer, the man, under the influence of alcohol, decided to take matches and set fire to some wastepaper. The paper ignited, spreading to the outbuilding and garage," according to the Brest Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs.  Noticing the fire
in the yard, the owner hastily drove her car out of the garage and called the Ministry of Emergency Situations . The garage and outbuilding, along with its contents, burned down.
Law enforcement officers detained an arsonist near a train station. According to the man , he acted out of intoxication and anger at being refused.
Investigators have opened a criminal case for the intentional destruction of another's property, committed in a manner dangerous to the public.
