In the Berezinsky District, on the 95th km of the M-4 Minsk-Mogilev highway, a 37-year-old pedestrian died in an accident, BelTA learned from the Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

The accident occurred at about 18:36. The driver of the Ford, a 30-year-old resident of Minsk, was moving in the direction of Mogilev and hit a man who was walking on the roadway in the left traffic lane. The pedestrian was not wearing reflective elements and, according to preliminary information, showed signs ofALCOHOL intoxication . He died at the scene.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate urges drivers to be extremely careful, especially near populated areas at night, and to maintain safe speed limits. Pedestrians are also reminded of the need to strictly follow traffic rules and use reflective elements for their own safety.
