Belarus to ban the sale of beer in plastic with a volume of more than 1.5 liters from 2025

March 10, MINSK. From 2025, beer and low-alcohol drinks with an ethyl ALCOHOL content of no more than 7% in polymer consumer packaging with a nominal volume of more than 1.5 liters will be banned for sale. This is provided for by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of March 7, 2023 No. 168, which is officially published on, BelTA informs.

Previously, there was a ban on the sale of beer and low-alcohol drinks in plastic containers with a capacity of more than 2 liters.

According to the document, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who have not sold beer and low-alcohol drinks in packages with a nominal volume of more than 1.5 liters before January 1, 2025, have the right to sell these drinks before their expiration date.
