February 22, MINSK. In Belarus, industrial injuries decreased by 5.5% in 2022, Prosecutor General Andrei Shved said at a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic, BelTA has learned.
"The level of occupational injuries decreased by 5.5%, while the number of deaths at work, unfortunately, remained at the same level," Andrey Shved said.
81 employees were in a state of intoxication at the time of injury. "This is more than in 2021. Of these, 22 people died," the Prosecutor General said.
"The number of registered traffic accidents last year decreased by 6%. The number of injured and dead as a result of road accidents decreased. The number of road accidents caused by drunk drivers, as well as people killed in such accidents, also decreased," Andrey Shved added.
