Car thief in Vetkovsky district found by smell

The Vetkovsky District Department of Internal Affairs received a report of a car theft. The car disappeared from an unguarded parking lot next to one of the high-rise buildings in the district center. it was found near a store nearby.
The investigative task force that arrived at the scene did not record any damage to the car. All the things in the car were also left untouched. However, a thorough inspection of the car allowed experts to find traces and objects that could be important for the case.
It later became known that the car was taken by a local resident. The man is in a state ofdrunk was returning home, walked past the parking lot where the victim's car was parked - it was unlocked. However, the findings of the odor examination, which established a match between the scent trail seized from the stolen car and the scent samples obtained from the suspect, indicated the opposite. The Vetkovsky ROSK initiated a criminal case on this fact.
