Topic news The hot weather that has settled in the country is rapidly bringing the dates of the mass harvest closer. Farmers are also in a hurry to have their equipment and people ready: some enterprises in the Mogilev Region have even tested combines in the field. The task is the same every year, but no less important - to harvest everything on time and without losses, ensuring economic stability for our enterprises, districts, regions and the country as a whole. Moreover, there is an understanding that the success and effectiveness of this agricultural campaign is the combined efforts of all interested services and departments, including employees of the internal affairs agencies. BELTA correspondents visited one of the preventive raids together with law enforcement officers and learned how they help farmers preserve their harvest.

The practice of working with mobile groups has long been widespread and in demand. They include employees of the departments for combating economic crimes, law enforcement and prevention, criminal investigation, and the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. The tasks set include monitoring the serviceability of agricultural machinery and its safety on the road, preserving state property and preventing its theft, and maintaining labor discipline. The next place of work for law enforcement officers was the machine yard of ZAO Bolshiye Slaveni. it is here that almost all the technical resources and material assets of the farm are concentrated.
"Today, the farm is ready to harvest and process grain - a couple of days ago, we tested the combines in the field, loaded the dryers, and threshed more than 200 tons of grain," said Ivan Bartashevich, DIRECTOR of the agricultural enterprise. "The equipment is equipped with combine operators, there are assistants, everyone is provided with special clothing and protective equipment, and food is provided. In addition, everything necessary has been prepared in case of fire, and the combines themselves are equipped with air conditioners - it's going to be a hot time."
This year, the farm will have to harvest almost 2,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops, 400 hectares of rapeseed - the load on one combine for grain will be approximately 245 hectares, taking into account rapeseed - about 290 hectares. "Ripening in the fields is uneven, the harvest will be stretched out, but we are ready to harvest the grain, dry it and stock the bins," he continued. "Eight crews will be involved in the harvesting campaign, transportation is also provided. Two grain drying complexes will work for them. In a week, we will begin harvesting winter barley."
The HEAD of the farm is only glad that the employees of the Internal Affairs Directorate are joining the process of preparing for the harvest - additional assistance and control will not be superfluous. "Everyone is helping - the district, the region, andlaw enforcement officers , - Ivan Bartashevich shares. - You don't always see the shortcomings in the work yourself - it's important to promptly suggest what needs to be corrected. At one time, the inspection drew attention to the decommissioned equipment that was not used, but only took up space in garages and on the territory. We dismantled it, and took the spare parts into the warehouse. Now we do not allow such a thing, that a tractor stands without a wheel or a generator."
Special attention at the agro-industrial complex is paid to safety and discipline, which is helped by modern technical means: recently, 60 video surveillance cameras have been installed on the farm and their number is constantly increasing. So, everyday work is under control, and there is less mismanagement and connivance on the part of workers.
Together with the management of the enterprise, law enforcement officers make a round, paying attention to individual issues. The task of both parties is to reduce the number of violations, while the participants in the raid themselves are guided by the principle of helping, not punishing. The duties of the senior operative for especially important cases of the Economic Crimes Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Shabusov are to identify and prevent crimes in the agro-industrial complex, to prevent mismanagement, improper condition or dismantling of agricultural machinery. It is important to ensure timely repair of the machinery fleet in order to fully use it in harvesting and transporting crops .
"We have been raiding agricultural enterprises for several years now," says Vyacheslav Shabusov. "We start with the beginning of sowing and end with harvesting - all spring, summer and autumn. First of all, the OBEP officers pay attention to the fact that there is no theft of goods and materials, fuels and lubricants, grain and spare parts. Today we also checked the condition of agricultural machinery - readiness for the harvesting campaign, serviceability. We always ask the farm how we can help on our part."
According to the law enforcement officer, theft of fuels and lubricants and spare parts is also recorded among the most common offenses. "From year to year, agricultural workers are really becoming more conscientious - they are caught drunk less often, they commit theft less often," Vyacheslav Shabusov states. "Such a result is preceded by a number of preventive measures, including explanations during relevant conversations of the consequences for a person of such offenses. By the way, when violations are detected, information letters are drawn up indicating the shortcomings and sent to agricultural organizations and district executive committees.
" "One of the areas of prevention affects labor discipline: there are fewer people who are in a state of intoxication during working hoursALCOHOL intoxication or is absent from work without a valid reason, - says Artem Shpikat, Senior Inspector of the Department for the Protection of Public Order and Prevention of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee. - In general, cleaning is a common cause, so all interested parties, including law enforcement officers, are involved in the work to achieve results. And in this matter, the contribution of everyone in their place allows achieving great success in the battle for the harvest."
Road safety is another focus of attention of law enforcement officers, for which the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate employees are responsible. Their task is to check the condition of drivers and exclude the possibility of being drunk behind the wheel, as well as to prevent the participation in traffic of a faulty vehicle, due to whose fault an accident may occur. The machine operator must be sober with a full set of necessary documents on hand - from a driver's license to a completed waybill. No one has excluded the human factor, so constant monitoring is important.
"We are most interested in compliance with regulatory acts on road safety - pre-trip control, control over the driver's condition before leaving, during work and upon return, in order to exclude negative facts, - emphasized the senior inspector of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Alexey Radulevich. - We look at the technical condition of the vehicles, especially during the harvest, including the presence of reflective elements and the smooth operation of lighting devices, since the equipment returns from the fields mainly in the evening. Therefore, it is necessary that everything works properly in order to exclude traffic accidents and ensure road safety."
"Today, together with the raid group, we looked at the repair shop, the maintenance of documentation for the departure and readiness of grain harvesters," clarified Roman Sergeev, an engineer for the operation of the agricultural enterprise's machine and tractor fleet. - Now the main task is to preserve the harvest during the harvest, the readiness of grain harvesters, of which we have nine, is responsible for this. One of them will be used to harvest household plots of the population. For tractors and cars, the percentage of technical inspection is quite high - more than 85%. The equipment is in good condition, current scheduled repairs are underway. We carried out all maintenance of the grain harvesters ourselves - changed oils, filters, adjustments, seals."
At the same time, the farm is already preparing for the autumn sowing. "You need to sharpen the axe before going into the forest," Roman Sergeev smiles. "Now we are checking the equipment for defects, people are working with full dedication - especially since they are financially interested: if you work hard, your salary will be more than decent. Therefore, we are moving into the future with a confident and firm step, the main thing is a peaceful sky above our heads, and we will achieve everything else with our own labor."
