December 20, MINSK. The trade turnover between Belarus and Kabardino-Balkaria increased by 61% over 9 months. Information Minister Vladimir Pertsov said this at a meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between Belarus and Kabardino-Balkaria, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.

The trade turnover between Belarus and Kabardino-Balkaria in January-September 2022 amounted to $12.1 million (the same period in 2021 - $7.5 million) and increased by 61%, Vladimir Pertsov said at the meeting. "By the end of the year with good results. An increase is observed in almost all areas of cooperation, which only confirms the activity of our work and the interest of the parties," the minister stressed.

The EXPORT of the organizations of the concern "Bellegprom" increased 2.1 times and amounted to $342.2 thousand for 9 months of this year. During the same period, the organizations of the concern "Belgospischeprom" delivered products to Kabardino-Balkaria in the amount of $245 thousand, or 167.9% compared to the same period in 2021.

Vladimir Pertsov noted that a good situation has developed in the industrial sector - according to the results of 10 months of 2022, the trade turnover amounted to $2.602 million (the growth rate was 364%). This is without taking into account the volume of products supplied through the subjects of the commodity distribution network.

The basis of supplies to Kabardino-Balkaria was metal products (mainly fittings) of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant. If we compare the sales of these products in 2021 (1,111.7 tons of steel products for a total of $684.3 thousand), then already in 10 months of 2022, 3,815.4 tons were sold for the amount of $2.339 million (the growth rate was 342%).

"Mogilevliftmash" is ready to fully meet the demand of Kabardino-Balkaria for elevator equipment both for new buildings and within the framework of elevator replacement programs. Our manufacturer, as part of the work on import substitution, is developing new and promising areas of activity for the production of high-speed elevators, as well as floor escalators, - Vladimir Pertsov noted in his speech. “Today, one of the promising areas of bilateral cooperation, in my opinion, is the implementation of projects to upgrade the fleet of passenger, cargo, special and agricultural equipment.”

For 11 months of 2022, the Minsk Tractor Works, through its own distribution network, supplied 75 tractors to the region for a total of 182.6 million Russian rubles, Gomselmash - three grain harvesters and one forage harvester for the amount of 57 million Russian rubles.

Also in August, the Minsk Automobile Plant sent proposals for the supply of MAZ passenger vehicles with presentation materials and financial instruments, and in December - a technical and commercial proposal for the purchase of MAZ lifting and municipal vehicles to the address of the regional operator for the management of municipal solid waste "Ekologistika". "Belarusian manufacturers of cargo, passenger, special and agricultural equipment are ready to supply their products," the minister added.

According to him, there are also good results in the agro-industrial complex - in January-October 2022, the turnover of food products and agricultural raw materials of Belarusian organizations with Kabardino-Balkaria amounted to $4.6 million (growth rate - 88.2% compared to the same period in 2021). Including the volume of Belarusian export - $939.7 thousand (growth rate - 103.9%). Also for 10 months, the range of exported products has been expanded - for the first time cheeses and soft drinks have been delivered.

As for imports, for the first time peas for sowing, certain types of seed corn, canned tomatoes and apples were delivered to Belarus. Vladimir Pertsov clarified that the products are supplied under direct foreign trade agreements using the capabilities of the commodity distribution network entities located in the Central Federal District and other regions of RUSSIA.

A number of enterprises of the Brest region are interested in supplying you with mineral and organic fertilizers, feed additives, technological equipment for the food industry, processing all types of waste. The relevant proposals were sent by the Brest branch of the BelCCI to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

In addition, this year, by decision of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the administration of the Partizansky district of Minsk is assigned to the development of cooperation with Kabardino-Balkaria and asks to consider the possibility of concluding an agreement on cooperation between the administration of the district and the local administration of the city district of Nalchik.
