January 26, Brest. The Drogichinsky District COURT announced a verdict in a criminal case of deliberately false reporting of an impending explosion, BELTA reports citing the press service of the Brest Regional Court.

The person involved is ableALCOHOL intoxication on October 15, 2023, he was traveling on a regional train on the Luninets - Brest route. Near the Antopol stopping point, he called the police and reported the presence of an explosive device on the train.

The man could not explain the reason for his action. He did not admit guilt.

The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 340 of the Criminal Code. The defendant was sentenced to three years in prison to serve the sentence in a colony under general regime conditions. In addition, the accused was subject to compulsory treatment for chronic ALCOHOLISM.

The verdict did not enter into legal force. it can be appealed and protested.
