June 6, MINSK. Traffic police officers detained 16 drunk drivers in Minsk over the weekend. BelTA was informed about this by the UGAI GUVD of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

“Over the past weekend, 92 traffic accidents occurred in Minsk, in which two people were injured. 16 drivers were detained for driving while intoxicated, 141 were fined for speeding. 113 drivers were detained for violations of the rules of passage of pedestrian crossings. 227 pedestrians violated the rules of the road. 42 of them were in a state of intoxication," the department said about the traffic situation.

The State traffic inspectorate called on all road users to strictly observe the rules of the road and recommended to remember the safety measures on the roads.
