April 19, MINSK. Investigators have identified three people who died in an accident in the Slutsk region, BelTA learned from the official representative of the USC in the Minsk region Elena Krupenina.

According to the investigation, on April 18, at about 3 pm, a 29-year-old man, driving a Mercedes road train, was moving along the Russian border road - Krichev - Ivatsevichi in the direction of Starye Dorogi. Near the village of Veseya, Slutsk district, he made a head-on collision with an oncoming Lada car that had entered his lane.

As a result of the accident, Brest residents aged 74, 60 and 54 who were in the Lada car died on the spot. Another 60-year-old resident of Brest is in critical condition in the hospital. The driver of the road train showed no signs of ALCOHOL intoxication , he did not receive bodily injuries.

The Slutsk regional department of the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case on the fact of the accident under part 3 of article 317 (violation of the traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle, negligently resulting in the death of three persons) of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
