Drunk truck driver arrested near Lithuanian border

January 24, Grodno. The drunk truck driver was detained at the entrance to the Belarusian-Lithuanian border. BelTA was informed about this in the traffic police department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

The cargo "DAF" has been in line at the checkpoint "Privalka" since the night. During the day the driver drank a bottle of vodka.

Soon he was stopped by the traffic police to check his documents. The condition of the driver raised questions. The medical examination confirmed the suspicion - 2.2 ppm of ALCOHOL.

Now the trucker faces a hefty fine of 200 basic units and deprivation of a driver's license for a period of 5 years.
