Drunk driver with passengers caused an accident in Vitebsk

July 21, MINSK . The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the Vitebsk Region is establishing the circumstances of a traffic accident in which a woman was injured. This was reported to BELTA by the Investigative Committee.

According to the investigation, on the evening of May 27, a 40-year-old drunk man got behind the wheel of a car in the company of two women aged 31 and 36. Around 11:00 p.m. on Stroiteley Avenue, he lost control and crashed into a trolleybus contact line support.

As a result of the accident, passengers received injuries of varying severity. According to the results of medical examinations, ethyl ALCOHOL was found in the driver's blood at a concentration of 2.58 ppm.

A criminal case has been opened against the driver under Part 4 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication).alcohol intoxication , which through negligence resulted in causing grievous bodily harm).
