Drunk taxi driver rammed a fence in Brest

August 14, Brest. A drunk taxi driver caused a traffic accident in Brest, BelTA learned from the official representative of the Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate Alexandra Zakharova.

The accident happened today at about 08.00 on Shevchenko Boulevard. A 28-year-old Brest resident got drunk behind the wheel of a Shkola taxi car. A medical examination showed 2.2 ppm of ALCOHOL. At a roundabout, the man lost control, ran into a curb, and then rammed the fence.

Fortunately, there were no passengers in the taxi at the time of the accident. The driver was not injured. His car is damaged.

“If you see a drunk driver getting behind the wheel or a drunk pedestrian walking along the roadway, call 102 or the nearest traffic police department. Perhaps a drunk person is not aware of his actions and needs your help,” said Alexandra Zakharova.
