Prosecutor's Office helped protect the property rights of an elderly disabled woman. This was reported to BELTA by the information service of the Grodno Region Prosecutor's Office. An 82-year-old woman contacted the prosecutor's office with a request to help recover damages from her neighbor caused by his illegal actions. During the inspection,
it was established that in January 2025, at about 11:25 p.m., her neighbor, being in a state of
intoxicated , he broke a window pane on the veranda of her house with a punch. The Dyatlovsky District
COURT brought the man to administrative responsibility for intentional damage to someone else's property, but he never compensated for the damage.
The department noted that the applicant is an elderly person, a group II disabled person and does not have the ability to fully protect her rights on her own. In view of this, the district prosecutor filed a claim with
the court for damages in her favor. The Dyatlovsky District
Court satisfied the claims filed by the prosecutor in full.
The man was ordered to pay damages for the broken glass.
The decision has not entered into legal force and can be appealed and contested in the appellate procedure.
