Law enforcement officers liquidated a warehouse of counterfeit alcohol in Mozyr

February 11, MINSK. An illegal liquor warehouse has been liquidated in Mozyr, BelTA learned from the Interior Ministry.

Recently, operatives from the local Economic Crime Department, together with employees of the Mozyr border detachment, revealed a large consignment of illegal alcohol-containing liquid and counterfeit ALCOHOL. In the garage of a 41-year-old local resident, 2,350 liters of alcohol-containing liquid were found and seized in plastic canisters labeled "ethyl alcohol 95%", more than 420 liters of Russian-made vodka and 100 liters of cognac in plastic canisters.

The department said that an administrative protocol had been drawn up against the offender for illegal possession of alcoholic beverages and alcohol-containing liquids. The man faces a fine of up to Br3,700. All goods with a volume of almost 2.9 liters worth more than Br55,000 have been confiscated.
