Drunk driver detained at enterprise in Partizansky district of Minsk

December 30, MINSK . The driver of a truck, who arrived to unload goods at one of the capital's enterprises, showed signs ofALCOHOL intoxication , BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

The day before, a call was received by the 102 line from the security of one of the enterprises of the Partizansky District of the capital. The security guards reported that the driver of the IVECO truck, who arrived to unload the goods, showed obvious signs of alcohol intoxication. The physical condition of the 43-year-old man also aroused suspicion among the traffic police officers of the Partizansky District Department of Internal Affairs who arrived at the scene of the incident. As a result, a medical examination revealed 0.69 ppm of alcohol in his body.

The man was detained and taken to the body conducting the administrative process. The car was placed in a guarded parking lot. A notification letter was sent to the violator's place of work.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reminds that the administrative penalty for driving a vehicle while intoxicated depends on the concentration of alcohol in the blood or its vapor in the exhaled air: from 0.3 to 0.8 ppm - 100 basic units with deprivation of the right to drive for 3 years; over 0.8 ppm - 200 basic units with deprivation of the right to drive for 5 years. For committing such an offense again within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty, criminal liability is provided.
