April 19, Vitebsk. In the Gorodok district, a drunken man was driving a walk-behind tractor. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Traffic police officers stopped a man on a motoblock in the town of Ezerishche on the afternoon of April 12. While talking with the 67-year-old driver, the inspectors noticed that the pensioner was intoxicated . Suspicions were confirmed after a medical examination, when 1.8 ppm of ALCOHOL was found in the driver's body.

"All owners of motoblocks should remember that this is also a vehicle, while driving which the driver must fully comply with the requirements of traffic rules," the traffic police reminded.

The punishment for drunk driving depends on the degree of intoxication - the concentration of alcohol in the blood or its vapors in the air exhaled by a person. If found from 0.3 to 0.8 ppm, then the fine will be 100 base units (1 BV - Br37). In addition, the driver will be deprived of the right to engage in certain activities for three years. If more than 0.8 ppm is recorded in blood or exhaled vapors, then we are talking about deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities for five years, and the fine is 200 basic units.
