19 drunk drivers detained on roads of Vitebsk region over the weekend

12 May, MINSK . On the roads of Vitebsk Region, 19 drunk drivers were detained over the weekend. This was reported to BELTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
On the roads of Vitebsk Region, 42 accidents with material damage were registered over the past weekend, including 10 in the regional center.  
Law enforcement officers detained 19 drunk drivers and 50 unlicensed drivers. About 263 vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists and SPM users) were brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. Of these, 38 were in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , 36 - without reflective elements.
