December 20, Gomel. A motorcyclist without rights and his minor passenger were injured in an accident in the Buda-Koshelev district, BelTA was told in the department for agitation and propaganda of the traffic police department of the regional executive committee.

According to preliminary information, on December 18 at 23.30, a drunk 24-year-old Renault driver drove into the oncoming lane and collided with an MMVZ motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old lawless person. The motorcyclist and his 17-year-old passenger were injured in the accident. The Renault driver fled the scene but was found.

"It is worth noting that the disenfranchised motorcyclist, along with a minor passenger, according to preliminary information, were also in a state of alcoholic intoxication . In addition, they rode without motorcycle helmets," the UGAI specified.

The State Traffic Inspectorate noted that on the weekends and days off, employees in an enhanced mode worked out the territory of the entire region. Road guards stopped more than 2.5 thousand traffic violations. So, 24 drivers were detained in a state of intoxication, 99 - did not have a license. 478 violations were registered on the part of pedestrians: 76 were seized from the roadway while intoxicated, 221 people did not identify themselves with retroreflective elements at night.

The state traffic inspectors once again appealed to all road users: "Remember that a negligent, irresponsible and indifferent attitude to the requirements of traffic rules leads to accidents in which people can suffer. Consider every action while driving or near roads."
