December 22, MINSK . The Minsk region police are switching to an enhanced version of their service. A BELTA correspondent was informed about this by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
Police officers in the Minsk region will ensure the protection of public order in places where the Christmas and New Year holidays are held. Over the coming weekend, 129 events are planned in the region dedicated to the holiday of the Nativity of Christ according to the calendar of the Catholic denomination.On the night of December 24-25, 63 festive services will be held in the region, and 66 on December 25. During these services, the service will be organized in an enhanced manner. State Traffic Inspectorate squads are close to the venues of public events to ensure road safety, routes are organized to bypass areas where traffic will be limited, as well as timely information about all changes in the organization of road traffic.
In places where there are large concentrations of citizens, for security reasons, passage will be carried out through checkpoints.
The Minsk Regional Internal Affairs Directorate reminds that in accordance with the law on holding mass events, visitors are prohibited from carrying bladed weapons, firearms, gas or other weapons, explosives and ammunition. To avoid injury, the use of pyrotechnic products is prohibited in the areas where planned events are taking place. For a comfortable stay, we recommend arriving at the event venues in advance.
Persons in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication will not be allowed to the venues of public events. In case of detection of ownerless or suspicious items, it is necessary to immediately inform the internal affairs authorities about this.
