Taxi car overturned in Zhabinka district: a passenger was injured

March 6, Brest. A taxi car got into an accident in the Zhabinka district - a pensioner was injured, BelTA learned from the traffic police of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

The accident on the road P104 Zhabinka - Kobrin occurred on March 4 at about 19.35. According to preliminary information, on the 1st km of the road, the 24-year-old driver of the Lada car lost control and drove off into the right ditch in the direction of travel. The car overturned.

In unstable weather and road conditions, the State Traffic Inspectorate urges drivers to be extra vigilant. If the weather worsens, you should avoid sudden lane changes and braking, refuse to overtake, keep your distance and speed limit. In conditions of insufficient visibility of the road, it is recommended to drive with the dipped headlights or daytime running lights on.

Over the past week, five traffic accidents occurred on the roads of the region, as a result of which two people died and four received injuries of varying severity. Traffic police officers detained 29 drivers for driving while intoxicated and 106 lawless people. 166 drivers were held liable for failure to provide an advantage to pedestrians. 480 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for violation of traffic rules. Of these, 49 were drunk, 184 moved at night without reflective elements.
