11 July, Brest. In Brest District, traffic police officers detained an underage motorcyclist without a license, BELTA reports citing the Traffic Police Department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

On 9 July, the traffic police crew was on duty on the Brest-Priluki highway. At about 1.50 a.m., a MINSK motorcycle came into the inspectors' field of vision. The driver was signaled to stop. A 17-year-old Brest resident turned out to be behind the wheel. The young man was drunk (0.46 ppm of ALCOHOL), and he did not have a driver's license.

According to the young man, he took the motorcycle that belonged to his mother. Four administrative cases were filed against the violator, which were sent to the commission on minors.

In a conversation with law enforcement, the boy's mother said that her son bought the motorcycle himself, but it was registered to a woman. She noted that she gave him the ignition keys that evening. "The mother was fined 5 base units for transferring the right to drive to a person who does not have such a right. The motorcycle was taken to a guarded parking lot," the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate added.
