A man who tortured his ten-year-old son will appear in court in the Mostovsky district

June 17, Grodno. The Mostovsky District Prosecutor's Office sent a criminal case to COURT accusing a 47-year-old local resident of torturing a minor. BELTA was informed about this by the information service of the prosecutor's office of the Grodno region. As the department said, the father of many children beat his 10-year-old son at least 11 times

from May 2023 to April 8, 2024 . According to the case materials, the defendant hit the child with a belt or hands on various parts of the body, causing the boy to be beaten. At the same time, the prosecutor's office clarified, the man was able toALCOHOL intoxication . The defendant explained his actions by saying that he was raising his son in this way, for example, because the boy behaved badly at school, tore his pants while riding a bicycle, or came into the room at an inconvenient time for his father.

After studying the materials of the criminal case, the Mostovsky District Prosecutor's Office came to the conclusion that the charges were justified and that the circumstances of the crime were objectively examined. We agreed with the qualification of the offense under Part 2 of Article 154 of the Criminal Code. The criminal case was being processed by the Mostovsky regional department of the Investigative Committee. The prosecutor left the previously chosen preventive measure against the accused unchanged - detention.

During the prosecutor's audit, omissions in preventive work with families were revealed, made by the subjects of prevention. In this regard, the Mostovsky District Prosecutor submitted a submission to the Mostovsky District Executive Committee demanding that the identified violations of the law be eliminated. Based on the results of consideration of the supervisory report, three officials were brought to disciplinary and one to financial liability.
