Export of products, cooperation in education. Ministry of Agriculture and Food on work with African regions

27 июня, Минск. О развитии сотрудничества с африканским регионами рассказали корреспонденту БЕЛТА в Министерстве сельского хозяйства и продовольствия.

"Наряду с укреплением позиций на традиционных для нас рынках и увеличением доли белорусского продовольствия осваиваются и новые рынки. Африканский регион - перспективное и довольно значимое направление. Кроме того, уже достигнуты определенные результаты", - рассказали в Минсельхозпроде.

According to statistics, in January-April this year, Belarusian products were supplied to African countries such as Ghana, Egypt , Côte d'Ivoire, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal and Uganda. The range of EXPORT supplies includes dry dairy products, raw hoofed animals, offal, beef , poultry MEAT , alcoholic beverages and other products. At the same time , citrus fruits, fruits , cocoa, fresh flowers, vegetables, coffee and other items of goods are imported to Belarus from African countries .

"To develop trade and economic cooperation, delegations from Zimbabwe, Kenya, Egypt, Uganda and South Africa visited the Belagro-2023 international exhibition, which was held this year from June 7 to 11 at the Great Stone. The delegations visited the stands of Belarusian processing organizations, were able to get acquainted with the list of Belarusian products, tasted the presented samples, and also discussed promising areas of cooperation in agriculture," the ministry said. They discussed not only mutual trade, but also issues of mechanization, irrigation, fertilizers, cooperation in the field of education and science, including the training of students from African countries in Belarus.

Во время визита делегации Кении в Беларусь между Министерством сельского хозяйства и продовольствия Беларуси и Министерством торговли, промышленности и инвестиций Кении подписано коммюникe, в котором отражены договоренности по дальнейшему сотрудничеству в области сельского хозяйства.

Новым рынком для Беларуси стало и Зимбабве. По итогам двусторонних визитов обсуждаются перспективные направления в сфере сельского хозяйства двух стран. Для расширения географии поставок продолжается работа по обеспечению доступа мясо-молочной продукции на перспективные рынки стран Африки, прорабатываются возможности подписания меморандумов о сотрудничестве в области сельского хозяйства.
