January 18, Gomel. The Gomel prosecutor's office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 33-year-old citizen, BelTA learned from the information service of the Gomel region prosecutor's office.

In August 2021, while drunk, a Gomel resident rode a Ural motorcycle through the territory of one of the gas stations in the regional center. "Noticing the persecution of the traffic police, he went to the Sozh River. Then he abandoned the motorcycle and disappeared. After some time, he returned and was detained by the traffic police," the information service of the regional prosecutor's office said. The man was charged with refusing to undergo an examination to determine the state of alcoholic intoxication by a person who had previously committed a crime under Article 317-1 of the Criminal Code.

At the hearing, the Gomel resident admitted his guilt. He admitted that he was driving a motorcycle while intoxicated, but refused to undergo an examination.

The city dweller had previously been prosecuted four times for driving while intoxicated, as well as drug trafficking.

The COURT of the Novobelitsky district of Gomel took into account the evidence presented and delivered a guilty verdict.
