August 10, MINSK. Prices for goods and services in Norway have increased by an average of 6.8% over the past 12 months. This is the highest value since 1988, TASS reports with reference to the Central Statistical Bureau of the country.

The representative of the Norwegian department Espen Christiansen noted that the main factor in this level of inflation in the country was an unprecedented increase in prices for food and soft drinks. Thus, from June to July, these goods rose in price by 7.6%, which is almost 3.5 times more than in the same period of 2021.

According to Christiansen, the country has never experienced such a rise in food prices in one month.
