Traffic police: 90 accidents occurred in Minsk over the weekend

August 8, MINSK. Over the weekend, 90 accidents were registered in Minsk, BelTA informs with reference to the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

According to the department, over the past weekend in the capital there were 90 accidents in which two people were injured. 13 drivers were arrested for drunk driving. Another 181 motorists were fined for speeding. In addition, employees of the State traffic inspectorate revealed 87 lawless people in Minsk. 120 motorists were involved for violations of the rules of passage of pedestrian crossings.

397 pedestrians violated traffic rules, 41 of them were under the influence of ALCOHOL . The inspectors also stopped more than 60 traffic violations by motorcycle drivers.

The State traffic inspectorate called on all road users to strictly observe the rules of the road and recommended to remember the safety measures on the roads.
