GAI of Vitebsk region over the weekend detained 25 lawless people

April 10, Vitebsk. In the Vitebsk region, traffic police officers detained 25 drivers over the weekend who got behind the wheel without a driving license. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The situation on the roads of the northern region is stable. In recent weeks, a slight decrease in the number of accidents with material damage has been observed over the weekend, the traffic police noted. For example, during the first Saturday and Sunday of April there were 27 such accidents, last weekend - 22. Nine of them were recorded in Vitebsk.

A decrease is also noted in the number of lawless people. "9 drivers were detained, driving a car in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , as well as 25 people who got behind the wheel without a driving license. A week ago, on the weekend, this figure was 27," the traffic police explained.

The number of pedestrians who were brought to administrative responsibility for traffic violations remains at the same level - more than 150 people. This time, 13 of them were drunk, and 39 did not identify themselves as flickers at night.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds all road users of caution and foresight. Drivers are advised to choose a safe speed and distance to the vehicle in front, taking into account the prevailing weather and road conditions. Pedestrians are strongly advised to comply with all traffic rules , and at night, take care of reflective elements.
