Minsk traffic police fined 107 reckless drivers over the weekend
September 25, MINSK . The capital's state traffic inspectors fined 107 drivers for speeding over the weekend. The results of the inspection of Minsk roads on Saturday and Sunday were reported to BELTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
Over the past weekend, 79 traffic accidents occurred in Minsk.Traffic police inspectors stopped 41 cases of driving vehicles without a license and 50 violations of the rules for transporting children.
The State Traffic Inspectorate detained 11 drivers for driving a vehicle while intoxicated. 127 drivers were cited for violating pedestrian crossing rules, 82 drivers neglected to wear seat belts.
According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, 576 pedestrians violated traffic rules, 28 of them were in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication .
