The incident occurred on August 19 at about 20:00 on Lake Katashi. Four children born in 2019 and 2020 swam on an air mattress 20 meters from the shore, and then began to move away. The senior rescue sailor of the OSVOD post went to the minors in a rowboat, transplanted them and brought them ashore to their parents. The children did not need medical attention .

it is noteworthy that just three days ago, on the same lake, popular with vacationers, an OSVOD worker saved a 12-year-old boy who came here with his grandmother.

As noted in the regional UMChS, the problem of deaths on the water remains relevant for the Brest region. Since the beginning of the year, 49 people have become victims of water, including two children. 7 people drowned while swimming. 24 people were saved, including 8 children.
