July 9, MINSK . Four people died in an accident on the roads of Belarus from Friday to Sunday, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
This weekend ended the lives of four people: two cyclists, a driver and a pedestrian.So, on the night of July 7, on the 13th km of the P58 Minsk-Myadel highway, a 54-year-old Audi driver knocked down a cyclist of the same age. The latter died on the spot.
The tragedy occurred on Saturday, July 8, near Gomel. Around 18.10 in the village of Pokolyubichi, a 53-year-old cyclist got under the wheels of a car. it is preliminary known that he crossed the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. Two hours later, the man died in the hospital. The driver who hit him fled the scene of the accident. A special plan was introduced to search for him. As it turned out, a 41-year-old resident of the village on a Volkswagen left a fellow villager to die on the road. According to police, he was in a state ofdrunk , does not have a driver's license.

The life of a 56-year-old SKODA driver also ended on the road . On July 8, at about 3 pm, he was driving near the village of Chirkovichi, Svetlogorsk district, Gomel region. At the roundabout of the road, the man lost control, slid into a ditch and overturned.
Another accident occurred in the Kirovsky district on July 9, where the driver ran into a pedestrian lying on the road and fled the scene of the accident.
