A heavy truck hit a drunk woman in the Dobrush district: she is in intensive care

On March 12, at approximately 19.55, a 44-year-old driver of a heavy-duty truck with a Mercedes-Benz semi-trailer was moving along the M10 highway, border of the Russian Federation - Gomel - Kobrin in the direction of Gomel, when he hit a 45-year-old woman. The pedestrian, according to preliminary information, crossed the roadway in an unspecified place and, as it became known later, was in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , moreover, it was not marked with reflective elements.

As a result of the accident, the woman received bodily injuries, with which she was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds pedestrians of the need to identify themselves with reflective elements. Also, according to the traffic rules, a pedestrian is obliged to cross the roadway at a pedestrian crossing, and in its absence, within sight: at an intersection along the sidewalks, roadsides, or along the shortest path, while making sure that exiting the roadway is safe.

The State Traffic Inspectorate calls on drivers to be extremely vigilant while driving, especially when driving on country roads at night, and recommends adhering to a safe speed limit, which will allow them to react in time to the sudden appearance of danger.
