October 26, MINSK. More than 300 traffic violations were stopped by the traffic police in 4 hours of a special event on the roads of the Gomel region. BelTA was informed about this in the department for agitation and propaganda of the traffic police of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Gomel regional executive committee.

"On October 25, 2021, on the territory of Gomel and the Rechitsa district of the Gomel region, from 6.00 to 10.00, a special event "Filter" was held, within which all the efforts of the police officers were aimed primarily at identifying disenfranchised drivers and those who are driving in a state of alcoholic intoxication , as well as to suppress other violations of traffic rules. So, in these territories, traffic police officers stopped 89 traffic violations," the traffic police said. At the same time, 11 drivers were detained for driving without a license.

In addition, in the specified period of time, intensive mining was carried out on the territory of other districts of the region. In the morning alone, law enforcement officers revealed 307 traffic violations - 8 drivers were detained in a state of intoxication and 28 - without the right to drive. Vulnerable road users identified 37 traffic violations.

The State Traffic Inspectorate once again calls on drivers to be conscientious on the road and take a responsible approach to complying with all traffic rules. "Let us recall that, according to the amended requirements of the Code of Administrative Offenses, if the exhaled air contains from 0.3 to 0.8 ppm of ALCOHOL, the driver faces a fine of 100 basic units and deprivation of the right to drive for a period of 3 years, and if more than 0.8 ppm - the fine will be 200 basic units and the driver will be deprived of the right to drive for 5 years," the traffic police added.
