More than 30 lawless people detained on the roads of Vitebsk region over the weekend

August 7, Vitebsk. More than 30 lawless people were detained on the roads of the Vitebsk region over the weekend. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

"In total, 42 accidents with material damage were recorded on the region's roads last weekend," the traffic police described the traffic situation. "Three of them occurred in the regional center itself."

In addition, inspectors detained 14 drivers who got behind the wheel in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , and 32 lawless.

More than 140 pedestrians were noticed in violation of traffic rules, they were brought to administrative responsibility. At the same time, 13 people were drunk, and 18 received a fine for the absence of flickers.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds all road users of the need to be extremely careful. Drivers are advised to drive at a safe speed and keep their distance from vehicles in front. Pedestrians are advised not to forget about retroreflective elements and to strictly comply with traffic rules .
